Russian A2 level is an advanced level course and exam taken in UK schools which follows on from the AS level. The examining body is Edexcel, and you can find details about the exam specification and sample papers on their website.
To pass the A2 level, you must first take Units 1 and 2 which make up the AS level. Units 3 and 4 complete the A2 level. These exams are as follows:
Unit 3 Understanding and Spoken Response in Russian
Unit 4 Research, Understanding and Written Response in Russian
The exam and specification is topic-based, and students should prepare for the exam by reading widely and preparing essays on the following topics:
* Youth culture and concerns
* Lifestyle: health and fitness
* The world around us: travel, tourism, environmental issues and the Russian-speaking world
* Education and employment
* Customs, traditions, beliefs and religions
* National and international events: past, present and future
* Literature and the arts
